It's the long weekend here on the Gold Coast and there are so many activities happening all over Queensland. Here at Kirra Beach, it is well known for it's surfing conditions. The Kirra township had a massive festival taking place in which we couldn't resist but to attend. As soon as sunset was descending we headed to the beach and I proceeded to take photos of this magnificent view.

Showers were predicted hence the dark grey clouds but in saying that, the atmosphere was still to die for. The amazing colours that were coming through from behind the clouds were unspeakable. At one point for about 2 minutes a fiery red came blasting through that I had to stop photographing just to gaze upon it and see if it was for real.

It was definitely for real and I'm glad I stopped to witness it. I've always thought of a sunset to be Gods signature at the end of a glorious day and what a way to end a fantastic day.
